HGTC sent six students to represent their AITP chapter at the AITP National Collegiate Conference in San Antonio, TX. Their competition consisted of 538 students from colleges and universities around the nation. Schools as far away as University of Alaska - Anchorage and as big as Texas A&M, Purdue, and MIT sent students to compete. Some of these teams consisted of more than 30 students however HGTC's 6 managed to prove that they could hold their own.
Jeremiah Farley and Christine Keesler took a third place award in a Network Design Competition, Clint Johnson and Christine Keesler won second place in Graphics Communication, and Clint Johnson also had the second highest Microsoft Technology Associate Exam score. All students placed in the Top 30 for a PC Troubleshooting Preliminary Test with Jeremiah Farley placing 14th and Clint Johnson in 20th.
These students really proved what a great school they have at HGTC. They say they are looking forward to next year where they can raise more funds to send more students and go with more first hand experience from this competition.
